Wednesday: 

 

  • Vocabulary for Chp 4-5 **
  • Continue filling in the "Tracking the Dogs" chart 
  • Review Chp 1-3 checkpoint test

 

 

Thursday: 

Essential Question for Chp 4

  • Now that Buck has conquered Spitz, who should be the leader of the sled team?  While Buck is an important part of the team and has certainly learned to become a strong and knowledgeable sled dog, would he be a strong leader?  Or, would another dog with more experience be a better leader.  As you read Chapter four (4), think about the qualities that a person (or dog) needs to possess to be an effective leader.  How should that person/dog interact with others?  What will make that person/dog a successful leader?
  • Chapter 4--- listen to story in class
  • Chapter 5--- listen to story in class

Chapter 4- Writing Prompt #3-- complete in class; take it home if needs to be finished **  

 

 

Friday: 

  • Finish reading Chapter 5 
  • First 45 minutes of class-- work time
    • Explorers and Maps worksheet for Chp 3-4 
    • Vocabulary for Chp 4-5
    • Tracking the Dogs chart 
    • Chapter 4 comprehension questions**
    • Chapter 5 comprehension questions**

          (both pages graded at the end of class) 

 

 

Monday:

 

CHAPTER 4-5 CHECKPOINT TEST IS ON MONDAY!!
